JERZY BRODZKI – TRANSLATORS INTERNATIONAL

Jerzy Brodski relocated from Europe to Fremantle in 1981, where he linked up with the Fremantle Migrant Centre and established and produced a multilingual newspaper, printed in three languages.

This success paved the way for Jerzy to set up his own company Translators International. Based in West Perth, Translators didn’t take long to establish itself and .within a few months, Translators International had more than 150 linguists and interpreters servicing clients.

Translators International is on the State Government panel offering translation and interpreting services and among the client list are law firms, the diplomatic corps, resource companies, and tourism and migration services.

Jerzy Brodzki was a foundation member and inaugural Vice President (Australia) of the Australasian Association of Language Companies. For that work Jerzy has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship of the Australasian Association of Language Companies.

Renato is an Honorary Fellow of the AALC for his involvement in providing his expertise in facilitating the creation of the Association.

He has served on the executive teams for some of the industry’s most prominent companies, and co-founded the first market research company focusing on the language services space (Common Sense Advisory).

Renato was the President of ELIA (European Language Industry Association) and also a Board Member of Translators without Borders, a non-profit organization that provides translations for NGOs. He is also the Vice-President of ABRATES, the Brazilian Translators Association, and an Advisor to TAUS – Translation Automation User Society. He is a frequent speaker on globalization and localization issues at industry events and universities around the world.
